The radiation has a specific spectrum and intensity that depends only on the temperature
Classical physics (light is a wave) cannot explain the UV section on this distribution: this is called the UV catastrophe.
However, Planck and others showed they could match the model with particle theory, which provides more evidence for wave-particle duality.
i.e. Blackbody can be explained by light acting as a photon.
