Reflection: when energy is incident upon a surface(aka boundary between two different media), then some/all of the energy 'bounces' back into the original medium.

The Law of reflection

Wave Behaviours

Energy incident upon a surface is:

  1. Reflected
  2. Absorbed
  3. Transmitted (goes through the object) Not an "or, or, or", usually a combination of these things.

Materials can be classified as:

  1. Opaque
  2. Transparent
  3. Transluscent

Depending on the extent that light can be transmitted through them.
